G&I Partner, Edward A. Wurtz, conducted the afternoon session of a Continuing Legal Education seminar, held by the New York State Bar Association on May 24, 2011, discussing Turnover, Discovery and Miscellaneous Proceedings under Article 21 of the Surrogate Court Procedure Act. Wurtz, the Chair of G&I's Estate Litigation Division, stated that "these proceedings, though little understood by most practitioners, are essential to collecting estate assets from third parties, or forcing fiduciaries to fulfill their obligations." Wurtz has been involved in numerous estate litigation matters during his 35 years of law practice, especially during the last 11 years assisting the Monroe County Public Administrator in litigation to locate and collect assets.
