G&I Partner, David D. Spoto, recovered $550,000 for the victim of construction site accident. The client sustained a severely fractured ankle when he fell 15 feet from a ladder while installing siding on a single family residence. The lawsuit was initially dismissed by the trial court. Spoto then appealed the dismissal to the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court which reversed the trial court's decision and reinstated the client's complaint. The case was then settled with the insurance carriers for the defendants. "It was a long and difficult road for our client, but we remained tenacious despite the adverse decision by the trial court," said Spoto. "The commitment to reach a just result ultimately won the day."
