Trial attorney, David D. Spoto, obtained a jury verdict in favor of G&I client, the Rochester-Genesee Regional Transportation Authority in the case of Bohrer v. R-GRTA (Supreme Court, Monroe County, Justice Harold Galloway). The Plaintiff was a wheelchair-bound passenger on a Lift Line paratransit bus and claimed that she was caused to fall and sustain personal injuries as the result of the bus driver's operation of the bus and failure to properly strap her into her chair. The jury determined to the contrary that the Lift Line bus operator was not negligent in any manner and dismissed the Plaintiff's case. "This was a very difficult case in that the jury was naturally quite sympathetic to Ms. Bohrer," said Spoto. "Everyone certainly regrets that she was injured, but the bus operator simply did nothing wrong to cause the event."
