G&I was successful in obtaining a jury verdict for the Rochester-Genesee Regional Transportation Authority. In the case of Wilburn v. R-GRTA, Monroe County Supreme Court, the plaintiff alleged that he got off of a Rochester Transit Service bus and was then struck by the bus as he tried to cross the street. The jury determined that nothing the RTS bus driver did or didn't do caused the accident, and the plaintiff's case was dismissed. There were serious questions as to whether the plaintiff intentionally darted in front of the bus. Litigation Department Head, Joseph Rizzo, stated: "This is another in a series of jury verdicts our attorneys have obtained in favor of the R-GRTA, which is an indication that the bus company is often the target of questionable lawsuits."
