G&I obtained a jury verdict in favor of G&I client, the Rochester-Genesee Regional Transportation Authority. In the case of Watkins v. R-GRTA (Supreme Court, Monroe County, Justice Evelyn Frazee), the Plaintiff claimed that she sustained personal injuries after being forced to take evasive action to avoid colliding with a bus negligently operated by a RTS Bus driver. The jury rejected the Plaintiff's claims and determined that the RTS bus driver was not negligent in the operation of the bus. "The jury heard two different versions of how the accident occurred, and the case ultimately turned on issues of credibility," said G&I partner Joe Rizzo. "The jury essentially determined that the Plaintiff's own negligence was the sole cause of her alleged injuries."
