Litigation Department Associate, Seema Ali, successfully obtained a defense verdict in a lawsuit commenced against G&I client, Scott Schieder. In the case of Domkowski v. Schieder, Supreme Court, Erie County, Index No. 8675/02, the Plaintiff, a tenant in Mr. Schieder's residential home, alleged that he was caused to slip and fall due to Mr. Schieder's failure to remove ice and snow from the driveway. Following a three-day trial, the jury determined that Mr. Schieder was not liable for the Plaintiff's fall and dismissed the case in its entirety. This marks the third time in as many trials conducted since joining G&I that Ali has obtained a defense verdict.
